SURREY HILLS
A DELICATE & TIMELESS LUXURY KITCHEN
THE PROJECT
This family home in Surrey Hills was re-designed by Sophie Paterson Interiors.
Drawing on Sophie Paterson Interiors’ detailed brief for the style of the kitchen and interior, Extreme collaborated directly with the end client and the team at Sophie Paterson Interiors to realise the design of the kitchen living space.
The interior features a soft palette of lighter woods ranging from blonde and taupe’s combined with luxurious bronze metals and polished plaster. The expansive kitchen follows this design palette, featuring Calacatta Lucido ceramic worktops, hand-stained oak cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances.
A kitchen space with its own defined personality

THE DESIGN CONCEPT

THE FINAL OUTCOME

LAYERED ISLAND DETAIL
The kitchen island is designed as two intersecting shapes with layered worktops, creating separation between the main cooking island and breakfast bar seating area.
The cooking island features a Gaggenau gas hob with downdraft extraction to suit the owners’ cooking preferences. The breakfast bar is a highly functional and comfortable space for the family to spend time together, finished with a Calacatta marble ceramic countertop, bronze metallic minimalist base and bronze inlay details.

HIDDEN COFFEE STATION
A coffee station is concealed behind pocket doors and includes a Gaggenau microwave and boiling water tap. The interior is finished in matching stained oak cabinetry complete with an Eglomise glass feature panel.

ELEGANT LARDER STORAGE
The bespoke larder positioned beside the walk-in wine storage is built into the wall to disguise its proportions. The Eglomise gilded glass doors with bronze frames and handles add elegance to this practical storage area and continue the kitchen’s design narrative.
