We are honoured to announce that two of our projects have been shortlisted for prestigious global design awards, the 2025 SBID International Design Awards and the International Design & Architecture Awards.

These accolades celebrate the very best of global interior and architectural design. To be recognised with two kitchen projects in both design awards reflects not only the individuality of each scheme but also our studio’s enduring commitment to creating kitchens and interiors that are personal, distinctive, and timeless.

PROJECT 1 – Contemporary Boutique Redesign

A Personally Curated Kitchen & Living Space for a Family of Five

This North London family home underwent a complete transformation, reimagining the inherited kitchen and adjoining living spaces into a richly layered and contemporary interior that balances classical elegance with modern performance. Created in collaboration with Bour Consulting & Design, the project was conceived with a clear philosophy: timeless over trendy, textural over glossy, natural over synthetic.

The new broken-plan space is defined by symmetry and flow. At its heart stands a sculptural island combining expressive timbers, liquid bronze detailing and a striking sweep of book-matched Patagonia quartzite, which forms a living artwork within the room. The rich material palette is softened by carefully integrated lighting that creates warmth and depth, while bespoke cabinetry conceals and reframes technology, ensuring every element feels intentional and harmonious.

PROJECT 2 – The Walled Garden House

A Contemporary Kitchen Grounded in History & Nature

In Norfolk, a new home designed by Clayland Architects embraces its historic setting within a former walled garden. The original brick garden wall remains intact, celebrated as a central interior feature that runs the length of the kitchen and living spaces beneath glass roof structures that flood the home with light. The dialogue between contemporary architecture and historic character became the foundation of our kitchen design.

The kitchen sits at the very heart of the open-plan space, anchored by a U-shaped island with a floating corner that serves as both a functional hub and a sculptural statement. The cabinetry features deeply textured timber, chosen to echo the natural surroundings, while aged copper accents reference the home’s cladding and weave the architecture seamlessly into the interior. A liquid metal feature panel and mirrored plinth add intrigue, while layered lighting highlights the kitchen’s textural finishes and bold geometry.

This is a kitchen defined by its sense of place, where materials and form reflect the client’s unique vision for their exceptional property. The design not only reflects the couple’s adventurous spirit and love of expressive interiors, but also celebrates the garden’s story and its rebirth as a home filled with light, texture and personality.

“At Extreme, our mission is to design kitchens and interiors that are entirely personal to create spaces that reflect the individuality of each client and the character of their home. To have two of our projects recognised on the international stage is a true honour. These awards celebrate innovation, design-craft and originality, which sit at the very heart of what we do.

I am immensely proud of our team, whose passion and dedication ensure that every project becomes a lasting expression of design without compromise”
