SBID Nominates Extreme for Design Award
SBID, The Society of British and International Interior Design, selects Extreme for an International Design Excellence Award.
The unique luxury kitchen design was created by Extreme for a family and their private residence in Surrey. The project has been selected as one of the qualifying projects by a technical panel of judges in the first stage of the process. The public are now invited to cast their votes for their favourite entries online, as their votes will be counted towards the overall results. Last year, the awards received over 40,000 unique voters during the voting period.
The SBID Awards is regarded as one of the most prestigious accolades in the interior design industry representing talent and design excellence across all corners of the industry. Each entry undergoes an exclusive two-tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts for both technical content and aesthetic creativity and evaluates essential elements such as brief compliance, budget, health & safety, and fit-for-purpose design.
Founder and President of SBID, Dr Vanessa Brady OBE says: “The range of finalists this year, across all 14 categories, is a true reflection of the creative scope of the global design industry, depicting an international portfolio of projects from over 40 countries worldwide.”
Marcello Cuconato, Extreme’s Creative Director shares his thoughts on the SBID Awards: “The value of design as a discipline cannot be underestimated. It is vital to celebrate innovation and the extraordinary work that is taking place throughout the design industry. Institutes such as the SBID play a huge role in recognising talent and commending those that are exploring new possibilities to challenge what has been done before, and we are honoured to have been nominated this year.”
