Extreme – Finalists in SBID & IDA Awards 2024
We are delighted to announce that Extreme Design has been nominated as a finalist for two prestigious International Design Awards. Our Claridge House project is a finalist in the International Design & Architecture Awards in the ‘Kitchen Over £150,000’ category and the British & International Interior Design Awards for outstanding kitchen design.
“When we started Extreme, we set out with a mission to have a meaningful and lasting impact on kitchen and furniture design. These awards showcase the best and brightest talent in our industry, and it’s an honour for Extreme to be among the finalists once again. I know that our team represents the very best in the industry, and I see how passionately they work each day to bring our client’s unique projects to life, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see their talent recognised on an international level.”

THE PROJECT
Set in one of Berkshire’s most desirable locations, the double award-nominated kitchen was part of an extensive renovation and extension of a property offering breathtaking panoramic views. The beautiful home showcases timeless Georgian architectural features both inside and out. These striking design elements, paired with the magnificent countryside views, became the core inspiration for the Extreme kitchen design.
Our clients sought a kitchen that subtly complements the architecture and surroundings rather than dominates the space. The result is a kitchen that exudes quiet sophistication and elegance, emphasising luxury through the thoughtful use of materials and a harmonious, balanced form. The light colour palette enhances the natural light and creates a seamless connection to the surrounding landscape, while the interior features—including a magnificent coffered ceiling with an ornate central rose and integrated lighting—remain the focal point.
An elegant luxury kitchen with a generous U-shaped island is the perfect design to cook, gather, and socialise while taking in the view. The cabinetry, crafted from natural timber and finished with an open-pore lacquer, lends a soft, tactile elegance to the space, highlighting the natural beauty of the wood. Internally, a textured linen finish adds an extra layer of refinement, while the combination of open-pore lacquer, polished countertops, and gloss flooring creates a unique aesthetic tailored to our client’s tastes.
